Summary
We have an opportunity for a Finance Lead- Revenue Invoicing in Bangalore, India.
This is an individual contributor role to deliver Revenue Invoicing services according to process specifications and standard operating procedures (SOP) in compliance with defined controls. This includes the coordination of all processes / activities related to period closings and the timely and complete delivery of reports and insights to Business.
In this role you report to the Finance Manager, and you closely co-operate with the business finance teams in a matrix structure.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (Invoicing)
- Coordinate closely with Order Management and Sales teams to perform invoicing and Credits accurately within the give TAT with all the checks in place (including resolution of invoice discrepancies).
- Should Have the knowledge for Direct and Indirect Tax, VAT, Manual and Automated Invoices, concession invoices.
- Should have a thorough understanding regarding credit note and credit invoice.
- Conduct thorough review of incoterms and performance obligations to generate and issue invoices (of all types) for customers and ensuring requirements/obligations are satisfied.
- Ensure that invoices generated are distributed, either digitally or manually based on customers’ requirements . Upload invoices on customer portals for customers that require online submission of invoices on an accurate and timely basis.
- Review the Letter of Credit (L/c) received from customers and prepare the documents in accordance with the L/c for negotiation. Should have the understanding of a letter of credit and the complexities associated with it.
- Submit L/c and invoicing documentation to banks for negotiation.
- Should be aware of the general Billing Policies and should be able to review unbilled Revenue within the given time frame.
- Should be able to investigate unbilled revenues.
- Should Be Proactive to ask Questions pertaining Price Change, Volume Spikes to the Business
- Must be able to Own the monthly Control Documents and proofs required for the Annual Audits and the Statutory Compliance related to company policies, legal standards and customer requirements. Must be able to assist in the Annual Audits.
- Ensure that there are no discrepancies with the L/c and, if found, communicate with the banks and senior management to resolve the discrepancies on a timely basis.
Who we’re looking for:
- Commerce Graduate/ MBA or equivalent degree in finance or accounting.
- 10+ years of relevant working experience in invoicing or similar roles in multinational organisation.
- Proficiency in working with SAP and MS Applications
- Have operational knowledge of ‘incoterms and its applicability.
- Experienced at handling L/C negotiations and preparing and understanding export control documentation.
